Why

I want to run a marathon before I’m thirty because…

I want to prove to myself that I can run steadily for 26.2 miles.

I want to prove that I can keep going when I know it’s going to get really hard – “I want to stop and crawl and cry” hard – and I want to train to make sure I don’t stop.

I want to prove to everyone who replied to the statement “I’m running a marathon” with “ARE YOU MENTAL?? It’s SOOOOO far!” that whilst it is far, if you train for something, you can achieve it.  I want to prove that I can achieve it.

I want to prove that whilst “I want never gets” is true when it applies to something you’re expecting to happen without putting in any work of your own, when it’s down to you and your own hard graft, you can get it if you do that work and you can be a running badass.
